This unit adjoins the Riverside Cottage. It has its own, private entrance with a ramp for wheelchairs. Facing due north, the warmth and light streams in making this a cosy and delightful place to be. The large, luxuriously appointed room has a king-sized bed which converts into twins if required, with bed linen of a superior quality including an electric blanket for those cool, winter evenings.
In the fully fitted kitchenette you will find a fridge, microwave, 2 plate electric hob and plenty of storage space. A wide variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate is provided daily. The lounge/dining area has panoramic, uninterrupted views up and down the river, and in fact these views are evident from your pillow as well. A flat screen TV with free view channels is provided and a CD player with a selection of music to choose from. The en-suite bathroom is appointed to the highest standard including hairdryer, heated towel rail and a walk-in shower suitable for disabled access. High quality toiletries are provided for your use and we follow an Eco-friendly policy as far as possible.
Huge ranch sliders open out onto your own covered deck where the vistas continue- why not enjoy your breakfast out here, and in the evening sip a sundowner while watching the sun slip slowly behind the trees as it turns the river into an artist’s palette of evening shades. Appledore Lodge also provides a large homemade continental breakfast for every day of your stay. We use pure and natural New Zealand ingredients for you to enjoy: freshly baked homemade bread, muffins and croissants; fresh fruit; fruit salad bowls; cereals; homemade jam and marmalade; fresh orange juice; plenty of milk; butter and homemade yoghurt.
